Release notes

  • Switched back to HA's DunGen3 module to produce the map. Mainly for AI and LoS testing reasons. All traps have been removed. Each level seeded with 10 zombies.
  • Debug codes now integrated. See "Done" for more info.
  • Shadowcasting LoS with fog of war, otherwise known as sex on a stick.
  • Base LoS range set to 12. Dave, let me know what you think a good number is for normal, dark, torch, etc viewing. Note that there's no clean-up support for changing the light radius in-game, so you'll get artefacts when going from 20 down to 1. Don't worry, it's a feature!

Done:

  • Improvements and tweaks to Despair, Infection, Speed and Grapple code
    • Despair now tracks zombies near and far, and killing zombies grants a small reduction to Despair.
    • Zombies now have variable speed. Deterioration stat also introduced, but not implemented.
  • Completely new LoS code using shadowcasting.
    • Still testing, but pretty soild. Bugs out if you get too close to edges, will add bounds before release - FIXED.
  • Feat support, but not implemented
  • Debug toggles
    • "(" Activates Despair debug info
    • ")" Activates Invulnerability
    • "*" Activates Massive damage (always crit, 25-50)
    • "&" Increment LoS range (1-20)
  • Improved AC calculation
  • Fixed stat side bar display errors
  • Fog of war
  • Basic title screen
